Vietnam National Administration of Tourism held Vietnam Tourism Roadshow on December 5th in Jakarta . This activity is aimed to introducing tourism destination in Vietnam, Vietnam's airlines, and to meet Vietnamese and Indonesian tour operators. There are various leadingtourism destinations in Vietnam, such as the city of Hanoi, Quy Nhon, Da Lat, Ho Chi Minh City and Mui Ne . In his opening speech on Monday, December 5th, Assistant Deputy of Asia Pacific Market Development of Tourism Ministry, Vincent Jemadu, said the Indonesian people have an interest in traveling . This can be seen from the number of visit of Indonesian people to Vietnam which is higher than the Vietnamese people visiting to Indonesia .
"So if you look at the number, Indonesian people visiting Vietnam reach almost 70 thousand. While Vietnamese visiting Indonesia only around 40 thousand. Vietnamese tourism growing very significantly. I am optimistic, by doing roadshow like this, more and more," he said.
Vincent Jemadu further explained, Vietnam is targeting 100 thousands of tourists visit from Indonesia next year . He is optimistic that the numbers could be reached . Southeast Asia is currently the highest position in the world tourism growth . So, according to him, now is the best time to develop tourism . Indonesia committed to realize peace mission, Minister says
---- The Indonesian government continues to be committed to deploying UN-peacekeeping personnel in its efforts to realize peace mission, Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi remarked after a coordination meeting in Jakarta on Monday, December 5th. According to her, Indonesia is one of the biggest contributors in deploying its security personnel in the UN Peacekeeping Force, in addition to providing the equipment of its main weaponry system for peace mission in 10 countries . She said that during the meeting Indonesian Foreign Ministry made coordination to strengthen the commitment of Indonesia to maintain the sustainability of peace mission . She stressed that the meeting was intended to coordinate the sustainability of Indonesia's role in the placement of its personnel in the UN Peacekeeping Force to maintain peace mission // Voi.ROL
Asita supports Visit Indonesia 2018 in Bali
---- The Association of Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (Asita) in Bali will fully support the Visit Indonesia 2018 to meet the target of 20 million foreign visits up to 2019 . The Chairman of Asita Bali, Ketut Ardana remarked on Monday, December 5th in Denpasar that the government should concentrate on the 10 main tourism destinations to make Visit Indonesia 2018 a great success . The Ministry of Tourism is offering 10 main tourism destinations known as the "10 New Balis" to boost the national tourism industry . According to Ketut Ardana, the province of Bali is ready to support the program, because the island resort is a regional liaison to attract foreign tourists to Indonesia . Bali is one of the iconic tourism destinations Indonesia, which attracts around 4 million tourists a year, or 40 percent of the total tourists visiting Indonesia . Soekarno-Hatta Airport Train to Complete by June 2017
---- Indonesian Transportation Ministry, Budi Karya Sumadi is confident of completing Soekarno-Hatta Airport train project by June 2017, despite facing land acquisition issues in some areas . Budi said on Monday, December 5th in Jakarta the airport train project has actually been fully completed . However, in some areas, we have yet to complete the land acquisition of roughly 130 houses . He said that the ministry has two options for the airport train's starting station: Dukuh Atas and Jakarta Kota Stations . The two has been chosen since Manggarai Station is not yet ready .
