This Brit Ate The World's Hottest Noodles And Was SO Affected He Went Deaf For Two Minutes!

This happens almost never.

Ben Sumadiwiria, a 22-year-old chef from London challenged himself to the world's hottest noodles. Known as the 'Death Noodles' in one of those back-alley restaurants in Indonesia, the dish is 4,000 times spicier than Tabasco!

As soon as Ben tasted the noodles, he went red in the face and began feeling sick almost immediately.

It's appalling how the locals in Jakarta actually eat the entire dish. "Everybody who tried them threw up outside the drain. They're known as 'death noodles' and some locals can even finish a whole plate, which is just crazy," said Ben.

Ben didn't go in blind. But he most definitely did come out deaf.

He knew that these noodles were "definitely the hottest noodles in the world". But after a few bites, the poor guy was not only sweating but also puking his guts out in the street. 

The most worrying bit, however, was when he lost his hearing for two minutes!

Trying to cool himself down, Ben gulped litres of water, milkshake, and also ate a cold banana. But the spice refused to let go of him.

"You don't really taste the noodles, it's just pure heat with a tiny hint of noodles. My lips were burning and I couldn't feel anything. I've eaten wasabi and plenty of other hot food, and I'd take that any day over those noodles."
